Pam Beidle, who represents the Russett metroplex, has remained stubbornly loyal to Ferguson on this important voting and civil rights issue.

Residents in Maryland City, Fieldstone, and Russett are still frustrated weeks after January’s storm buried the region under nearly a foot of snow and ice. Many say the county was unprepared for the freezing rain that followed, leaving some residents unable to get to work — or even receive mail. Residents directed much of their criticism at Julie Hummer, saying major roadways remained clogged long after the storm passed.
